There is no way the book can picture & describe the tens of thousands of watches made throughout the 20th Century, especially prior to Seiko hitting stride with the quartz movement. But, the book has many representative pictures and descriptions. Of greater value to me were the chapters discussin|About the Author|Gisbert L. Brunner and Christian Pfeiffer-Belli have written several books on wristwatches and are recognized around the world as experts in the field.
