If you can, get the later edition (1966), which includes additional seals from American collections.

The 1940 edition of this work was based on original-size photographs of about 9,000 seals taken with a finger-print camera from paintings in the former Palace Collection. This 1966 revised reprint is reproduced in facsimile size and it has an additional supplement of further seals found on Chinese paintings in public and private collections in the USA.
