Whisker PhD|It is hard to believe that in the 21st century the major publisher of books on antique firearms would publish a book with such truly terrible photos. Not a few are similar to the "black cat in coal pile at midnight." Few have the backgrounds removed which with PhotoShop is a major sin. It has been many a year since I have seen photo| |Abundantly illustrated with black and white photographs... Anyone interested in early American military arms will find this a useful reference volume. The bibliography is extensive... and the overall coverage is superb. --Gun Day
