This book shows pictures identifying the several different markings applied at the factories in Japan for export to the United States. This new book is an excellent reference for the multitude of ceramics items marked "MADE IN JAPAN" that were exported between 1921 and 1941, after Japanese manufacturers used the "NIPPON" mark and before the "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN" mark.
